  加拿大政府於今年12月21日發布《2021年努納戊特特區的瀕危物種（Species at risk in Nunavut 2021）》報告，顯示西哈德遜灣（Western Hudson Bay）的北極熊數量在西元2021年有618頭，比西元1980年代減少約50%，且在西元2011年到2016年之數量變化為減少11%，在近5年內則減少27%，顯現數量減少的情形逐漸加速。

  科學家推測北極熊數量驟降之因，是因其獵物海豹受氣候變遷影響，而減少數量，連帶導致北極熊的數量跟著減少，此外，北極熊仰賴海冰捕獵，海冰因暖化而加長融化的時間，使北極熊較不易捕食。西哈德遜灣是全球北極熊棲息最南的地區，科學家預測當地的北極熊恐將最快消失。

  文化部公告「重要文化資產保存技術保存者」最新名單：「剪黏泥塑技術」保存者徐明河匠師、「土水修造技術」保存者李清海匠師及蘇清良匠師。

  「剪黏泥塑技術」是臺灣傳統建築的裝飾工藝，其保存者徐明河長期以傳統手作修復古蹟為主業，為「洪派五虎將」的第三代傳人；「土水修造技術」可保存及修復漢式傳統及洋式近代建築，其保存者李清海為金門縣人，維護許多金門地區的傳統建築，而另一位保存者蘇清良，能製作各種土水修造技術工具，且正確執行相關土水修造技術。

  文化部依「文化資產保存法」登錄重要文化資產保存技術，並認定保存者，自民國99年起至111年12月，已登錄10項技術、認定16位保存者。

國際奧林匹亞機器人大賽 臺灣隊獲得佳績

  「國際奧林匹亞機器人大賽」（World Robot Olympiad，簡稱WRO）是專門為年輕學生舉辦的機器人競賽，今年11月17日至19日在德國多特蒙德（Dortmund）舉行，共有來自73國的365隊參與。

\n

 

\n

  我國國小、國中、高中共104支隊伍先在國內競爭後，選出其中優勝的11支隊伍代表臺灣參賽，榮獲3金、1銅、第6名的佳績：臺中溪南國中獲得「機器人運動」（Robo Sports）及「未來工程師」（Future Engineers）項目的金牌；新竹聯隊國小組及國中組分別得到「機器任務」（Robo Mission）的金牌和第六名；桃園成功國小贏得「未來新創家」（Future Innovators）銅牌。

  在第27屆聯合國氣候峰會（COP27），前美國副總統高爾（Al Gore）公開的全球最髒的500個碳排放源，其中5個為臺灣的中火、麥寮電、興達電、中鋼、林口電廠。

\n

  經濟部表示，此些電廠上榜的主因是設備規模較大且集中，並因我國以製造業為主要經濟發展，需要能源及相關製造設備，此外，若以每單位發電或生產所造成的碳排量來看，上榜電廠設施並未比全球相同類型的設施高，且單位排放強度也優於國際水準，因此認為全球最髒碳排放源名單，僅呈現該排放源溫室氣體排放的總量高低，並非評斷該排放源減碳表現好壞的依據。

  特拉斯是英國女王伊麗莎白二世任命的最後一位首相，於2022年9月6日上任，45天後辭職，成為任職時間最短的英國首相。

  在她就任期間，她支持財政大臣夸騰（Kwasi Kwarteng）公布減稅政策，但被普遍認為造成巨大經濟問題，夸騰也被她解僱，如今此政策幾乎全遭到廢棄，此外，一些同黨國會議員公開批評她、要求她下台，內政大臣亦請辭，最終促使她選擇辭職，並在辭職演說中說道：「我承認我無法完成保守黨推選我時所賦予我的任務」。

  根據世衛於12日公布的最新統計，全球已有63國共通報近1萬起的猴痘病例。世界衛生組織（WHO）表示，將於21日召集猴痘專家委員會，討論這波疫情是否構成「國際關注公共衛生緊急事件」（PHEIC）。

  雖然猴痘在中西非國家早已是地方性流行病，但5月初以卻激增在中西非國家以外的病例。經歷過COVID-19的經驗後，世衛不敢輕忽此次的猴痘傳播。

  日本前首相安倍晉三於8日在奈良縣進行參議員選舉助選演講時，不幸遭槍殺身亡，享壽67歲。日本首相岸田文雄於14日傍晚召開記者會宣布，政府將於今年秋天替他舉辦國葬。

  在記者會上，岸田文雄表示除了希望透過舉辦國葬來悼念安倍晉三對於日本的貢獻，也表達日本政府不屈服於暴力，守護民主主義的決心。
